The Chapel brief was to create an award-winning site that reflects the excellence of the spa concept and convey the calming ambience of the outlet. It was important to make visiting the site more of an emotional experience rather than just an explanatory one. The choice of warm colours and subtle animation helped create a sense of a relaxed environment for the user whilst providing them with all the information they need.
The Chapel website design conveys the mood and tone of each of the seperate environments within the unique building. Subtle elements, such as the pattern used on the flooring of the reception area, have been also as a background animation within the site to make it even more personal and relaxing.
Since the site was launched back in 2005 it has won two industry awards. The first award was 'Winner of the British Hairdressing Business Awards Web Site/Innovation of the Year 2005 - Sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional'. After a redesign a couple of years later it went on to win 'Winner of the British Hairdressing Business Awards Website/Innovation of the Year 2007 - Sponsored by Veaudry'.
The site offers a virtual 360° tour of each of the key areas of The Chapel, as well as providing biographies about each of the team members to allow customers to feel comfortable with their chosen stylist and information on the key products used during treatments.
