Gladiators
Web site for the
hit TV show Gladiators
on Sky & ITV
Noddydog created the website for action packed prime-time Saturday night television show Gladiators in 1999 for its legion of fans across the world. The website was visually entertaining and stimulating, showcasing the shows comprehensive history, providing personal profiles for each gladiator and outlining event rules. It was brought to life and kept current with exclusive competitions, backstage video interviews, web chats and a busy online forum.
In 2008 the site underwent a radical make-over to support the Sky relaunch. This included the challenge of combining graphical styles and vast content for both series into a clear and user-friendly design. A series of minimalistic icons for each Gladiator were designed to enhance the individuality and personality of each character.
NoddyDog was invited down to the recording studios in order to gather exclusive video footage, photos and interviews that would be released weekly as the show aired. Fun features implemented on the site included 'Rate the Gladiator' and the 'Dog's Blog'(officially named by the production team!) which helped to add a personal touch.
The whole experience of designing, producing content and being involved with the Gladiators series (not to mention the nostalgic moment of meeting Jet and Wolf!) was incredible and makes this one of Noddydog’s most memorable and favourite projects to date. Awooga!

The futuristic design for the Gladiators Zone encompasses design elements from the original ITV show and newer elements, such as the fire theme, from Sky's new version.
The site combines the history of both the original ITV version and the new Sky series.
Each Gladiator has an individual themed profile page with an in-depth biography, gallery, event statistics and downloadable fan kit.
As well as designing and building the site NoddyDog also produced some of the features.
